Riding and Training Program

I currently ride 6 days a week, allowing my horses a day to rest and be horses. I use their day off to focus on my own fitness. Within those 6 days, I usually ride 2-4 horses a day, focusing on different things depending on what each horse needs. I ride a range of horses from my jumper, ponies, school horses, babies, and show horses. I have 2 lesson days a week and usually lesson 2 horses each of those days. The other 4 days consist of technical hacks, where I work on flatwork, polework, and similar exercises to keep them engaged.

Training Program

I train with Sydney Hott at Notting Hill Farm in Wildwood, Missouri. My lessons change weekly to mold to what my horses and I need to work on. They range from flatwork, grids, and coursework. Being in an organized program has helped me improve in all aspects of my riding. My program has also taught me the importance of flatwork. Without flatwork, there is no foundation and you can’t be successful over fences. My trainer guides me to succeed and grow as both a rider and a person every day. She pushes me out of my comfort zone, expand my abilities, and gives me many amazing opportunities to help me learn. In the past, I’ve trained with both Micaela and Michael (Tyler) Kennedy.
